(Editor’s Note: California Republican Assemblyman James Gallagher, 45-years-old, Yuba City, first elected in 2014, served as the Minority Leader of the California State Assembly from 2022 to 2025 and in 2017 was the Republican Caucus Chair of the California General Assembly. His Assembly District represents all of Butte, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, Yuba Counties and part of Placer County. Prior to 2014, Gallagher was on the Sutter County Board of Supervisors from 2008 to 2014. He has practiced law since 2007. His family are fifth generation rice and walnut farmers. Gallagher is running to finish out the term of Congressman Doug LaMalfa which ends in January of 2027 after LaMalfa died Jan. 6, 2026. The election for filling this Congressional seat will use the current congressional map and not the Prop. 50 approved new boundaries.)

(Editor’s Note: Florida’s 38-year-old Republican Congresswoman Kat Cammack of Gainesville has been in office since 2020 serving a 12-county area in North Central Florida. Previously she served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Ted Yoho, who retired from District 3 in 2020 after serving four terms. Florida’s 59-year-old Congressman Aaron Bean of Fernandina Beach has been in office since 2022. Previously, he was in the Florida Senate from 2012 to 2022 for District 4, which includes all of Nassau and Clay Counties and part of Duval County. Bean was President Pro Tempore from 2020 to 2022. He also served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2008. Florida has a Congressional delegation of 20 Republicans and 8 Democrats.)
