She is the first Mexican American woman elected to Congress from Florida. Luna is on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Oversight and Government Reform House Committee. She is a strong conservative pro-life advocate and ally of President Donald J. Trump and served in the Air National Guard from 2009-2014. Florida Democrat Congresswoman Kathy Castor is 59-years-old, first elected in 2006 from Tampa. She was Chair of the House Committee on Climate Crisis, an advocate for gun control, same sex marriage, pro-choice and a strong supporter of President Joe Biden. Castor is one of the first women in over 60 years to be elected to Congress from Tampa. The Florida Congressional delegation has 20 Republicans and 8 Democrats.)
