(Editor’s Note: Florida’s 52-year-old Republican Congresswoman Laurel Lee of Tampa has been in office since 2022 and is Vice Chair of the Republican Main Street Caucus. Previously, she served as Florida Secretary of State from 2019 to 2022 and as a former judge in Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit from 2013 to 2019. She is an attorney that has worked in antitrust and business litigation. Florida’s 75-year-old Congressman Vern Buchanan of Sarasota has been in office since 2006. He is on the House Ways and Means Committee and is the chair of the subcommittee on Health. Buchanan is one of the wealthiest Congressional members. He made his wealth owning five automobile dealerships and 50 other businesses. Buchanan is not running for re-election in 2026. He is Baptist. Florida has a Congressional delegation of 20 Republicans and 8 Democrats.)
