Local (Community): Pray for intercessors in California Senate District 12.
(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 12 includes Tulare, Kern and parts of San Bernardino Counties, the northwest corner of the Mojave Desert and the southwest Central Valley. The District is represented by 61-year-old California State Senator Shannon Grove, Bakersfield, who has served in the California State Senate since 2018, first in the 16th District from 2018 to 2022 and then in the 12th District from 2022. From 2019 to 2021 she served as the Minority Leader. She has also served in the California Assembly first representing the 32nd District from 2010 to 2012 and then in the 34th District from 2012 to 2016. Senator Grove is pro-life, an advocate for gun rights, and is a President Trump supporter. Earlier in her career, she served in the U.S. Army. She is an Assembly of God member and in the June Primary ran for Board of Equalization District 1 and came in on top of the five candidates.)

(Editor’s Note: California 65-year-old Democrat Congressman Juan Vargas of San Diego has represented the 52nd Congressional District since 2023 and also the 51st District from 2013 to 2023. The district consists of the South Bay region of San Diego County and includes National City, Chula Vista and the Hispanic southern portion of San Diego. Previously, Vargas served in the 40th California State Senate District from 2010 to 2013 and in the California State Assembly 79th District from 2000 to 2006. He also served on the San Diego City Council 8th District from 1993 to 2000.)

(Editor’s Note: New York’s 47-year-old Republican Congresswoman Nick LaLota, Amityville, was first elected in 2022 to represent District 1. He is a member of the Republican Governance Group. He has also served in the U.S. Navy from 2000 to 2007 and has had three overseas deployments. LaLota is a Catholic and is an attorney. New York’s 41-year-old Republican Congressman Andrew Garbarino, Bayport, was first elected in 2020. He is Chair of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee and is an attorney also on the Republican Governance Group. Garbarino previously served in the New York State Assembly 7th District from 2013 to 2020. He is Catholic. The New York Congressional delegation consists of 7 Republicans and 19 Democrats.)
