She previously served in the California State Senate District 32 from 2013-2014 and the California State Assembly District 61 from 2008 to 2013 and in District 52 from 2012-2013. Before serving in state office, she was a Pomona Councilwoman from 2000 to 2006 and then Pomona Mayor from 2006 to 2008.).
