(Editor’s Note: 70-year-old California State Senator Tom Umberg was first elected in 2018. Previously he served two stints in the California State Assembly District 72 from 1990-1992 and District 69 from 1992 to 1994. His second stint in the California Assembly was District 69 from 2004-2006. Umberg is an attorney and previously served in the U.S. Army in South Korea and in Italy. He is a Bronze Star recipient married to a Brigadier General.)

(Editor’s Note: Ohio’s 75-year-old Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, D-3, Columbus, was the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus from 2021 to 2023 and was first elected in 2012. She previously served in the Ohio House, D-23, from 1998 to 2008. Beatty has also been a national spokesperson for the American Heart Association and worked for Ohio State University. Ohio’s 61-year-old Congressman Jim Jordan, R-4, helped start the House Freedom Caucus and was the first chair from 2015 to 2017. He was selected as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee in 2023. Jordan was a candidate for the U.S. House Speaker role. He is an ally of President Donald J. Trump. As a high school wrestler, Jordan won four state championships and in college won two national championships and served as the head wrestling coach at Ohio University from 1987 to 1995. He also has a law degree. Ohio has a Congressional delegation of 15 members: 10 Republicans and 5 Democrats.)
