(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 38 is represented by 49-year-old Democrat Catherine Blakespear of Encinitas, first elected in 2022 and formerly an estate planner and journalist. The district includes coastal North San Diego County and the southern edge of Orange County.)

(Editor’s Note: CA Democrat Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, 38th District since 2013, and previously was in the 39th District from 2003 to 2013. She and her older sister, Loretta, were the first sisters to serve at the same time in Congress. She is a labor attorney and was secretary and treasurer of the Orange County branch of the AFL-CIO. The 57-year-old legislator serves in eastern Los Angeles and Orange County.)

(Editor’s Note: Ohio Congresswoman Carol Miller, is 75-years-old, first elected in 2023 and previously served in the 3rd District. Prior to that she was in the West Virginia House of Delegates 16th District from 2013 to 2019 and in the 15th District from 2007 to 2013. She serves the southern half of West Virginia, owns a bison farm, and is Baptist. West Virginian Congressman Riley Moore, 45-years-old, was elected in 2024. Previously, he was the 25th West Virginian Treasurer from 2021 to 2024. He served in the West Virginian House of Delegates for the 67th District from 2017 to 2019. He is Catholic and he has two other family members, an aunt and cousin that have been elected to public office and his grandfather was former West Virginia governor.)
