(Editor’s Note: Plumas County has a population of 19,770 and is 2,554 square miles and is located in the Sierra Nevada, named after the Feather River. The county seat is Quincy and the only incorporated city is Portola with just over 2,000.)

(Editor’s Note: California Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva, D-67, Fullerton, 63-years-old, was first elected in 2012 in District 65, lost the election in 2014 but regained her seat in 2016. She started serving District 67 in 2022. Prior to being elected to office, she was Mayor of Fullerton and an elementary school teacher.)

(Editor’s Note: Virginia’s 78-year old Congressman Bobby Scott has been in office since 1993 and represents Newport News. He is the first Filipino elected to Congress and the first African American Representative elected from Virginia since Reconstruction days. His mom was Filipino and his dad African American. He has served as Chair of the House, Education and Labor Committee. Scott was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 1977 and to the Virginia Senate in 1982. Virginia’s 53-year-old Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, has been in office since 2023 when she won a special election. She is the first African American woman elected to Congress from Virginia and represents Richmond. Previously she represented the Virginia State Senate 9th District from 2017 to 2023 and the 71st Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017. Virginia has a Congressional delegation of 11 members: 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans.)
