The county seat is San Bernardino.)

(Editor’s Note: South Carolina’s 48-year-old Congresswoman Nancy Mace has been in office since 2020 and is the first Republican woman elected to Congress from South Carolina. She was re-elected in 2022 and 2024 and is running for Governor of South Carolina in 2026. Previously she served in the 99th District General Assembly from 2018-2020. She started a public relations firm in 2008 before selling it in 2013 and is the first woman graduate in 1999 from the Corps of Cadets at the Citadel Military College in South Carolina. Mace is Protestant. South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson, 78-years-old, was first elected in 2001 and previously served as a South Carolina state senator from 1985 to 2001. He also served as a real estate attorney and municipal judge. Wilson initially was with the U.S. Army Reserve. He is Presbyterian. The South Carolina Congressional delegation has 6 Republicans and 1 Democrat.)
