Previously he served in the Huntington Beach City Council from 2022 to 20025 and was Huntington Beach Mayor from 2022 to 2023. Strickland was elected as a California Assemblyman District 19 from 2008-2012 and served in the California Assembly 37th District from 1998 to 2004. He is CEO of a Super PAC.)

(Editor’s Note: West Virginia’s 72-year-old Republican Senator Shelley Moore Capito was first elected in 2014. Previously, she was a Congressional representative of the 22nd District from 2001-2015. She also served in the State House of Delegates from 1996 to 2000. Capito is a moderate Republican and is a pro-choice advocate. She is the first woman elected to the U.S Senate from West Virginia and is the first West Virginia woman Senator since 1942. She is the daughter of a former three-term West Virginia Governor. West Virginia’s 74-year-old Republican Senator Jim Justice elected in 2025 previously served as West Virginia Governor from 2017-2025. He ran for governor as a Democrat before switching to Republican seven months after winning election. He inherited his dad’s coal mining business which includes 94 companies and combined with the family’s agricultural business was at one time a billionaire but is still the richest U.S. Senator. He also is a girls and boys basketball coach with his girls team in 2012 winning the state basketball championship.)
