(Editor’s Note: 57-year-old California State Senator Brian Jones, R-40, of Santee in San Diego County, was first elected in 2022 and also served in District 38 from 2018-2022. Previously, he served in the California State Assembly District 71 from 2012 to 2016 and in Assembly District 77 from 2010 to 2012. He is an advocate for free enterprise markets, lower taxes and redacted government regulations. Jones was elected to the Santee City Council in 2002 and previously was a manager of a pizza parlor as well as real estate salesperson.)

(Editor’s Note: Georgia’s 39-year-old Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff was first elected in 2021 and is the first Jewish senator from Georgia and the first elected Jewish senator from the Deep South since 1974. He is the first millennial senator elected, the youngest senator elected since 1980. Ossoff is pro-choice, supporter of Planned Parenthood, and the LGBTQ community. Prior to being elected he was a documentary investigative filmmaker. Georgia’s 56-year-old Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock, elected in 2021 is the first African-American to represent Georgia in the Senate, the first Black Democrat elected to the Senate from a Southern state. He is a pro-choice Baptist senior pastor of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, Martin Luther King’s former church, since 2005. Warnock is pro-choice and pro-gay marriage. Warnock and Ossoff are the first Democrat Georgia senators since 2000.)
