(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 3 is 3,000 square miles and includes six counties that extend through California Wine Country, the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, and UC Davis. Representing Senate District 3 is 60-year-old Christopher Cabaldon, West Sacramento, first elected in 2024, the first Filipino-American Senator. He previously served as Mayor of West Sacramento from 1998 to 2020 and announced that he was gay in a State of the City Address in 2006.)

Waters is the most senior of the 18 Black women in Congress and she previously served 7 terms in the California State Assembly, first elected in 1976.)

(Editor’s Note: South Carolina Congresswoman Sheri Biggs, R-3, is 56-years-old, first elected in 2024 and previously served as a nurse practitioner and also served in the Mississippi Air National Guard. Congressman William Timmons, is 41-years-old and has served since 2018. Previously, he was a State Senator from 2016 to 2018. He has stated that this will be his last election campaign for office. Prior to public office, he was a prosecutor of those engaged in domestic violence. Timmons is a former Air Force Office and during college won a state tennis championship. The Congressional delegation of South Carolina is made up of 6 Republicans and 1 Democrat.)
