Virginia’s 68-years-old Democrat Senator Tim Kaine has been in office since 2012. Previously, he was the 70th Governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010. He also was the 78th Richmond Mayor from 1998 to 2001 and was elected to the Richmond City Council in 1994. Kaine is an attorney and was Hillary Clinton’s nominee for Vice President in her presidential campaign in 2016. He was chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2009 to 2011.
