(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 7 includes the western portions of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Senate District 7 is represented by 41-year-old Democrat Jesse Arreguin, Berkeley, since 2024. He served on the Berkeley City Council from 2008 to 2016 and as the 22nd Mayor from 2016 to 2024, the first Latino elected mayor of the city and the youngest elected mayor in the San Francisco Bay at age 32.)

(Editor’s Note: Florida Republican Congressman Cory Mills is 45-years-old, first elected to Congress in 2022 from New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County, central east coast Florida. Prior to office, Mills was a military contractor. He served in the U.S. Army from 1999 to 2003 and was in the Iraq War. Florida Republican Congressman Mike Haridopolos is 56-years-old, from Indian Harbour Beach, first elected in 2024. Previously, he served in the Florida Senate from 2003 to 2012 and was President of the Florida Senate from 2010 to 2012 and Majority Whip from 2006 to 2008. He also served in the Florida House of Representatives 30th District from 2000 to 2003. Haridopolos has also been an educator, having taught at Brevard Community College and the University of Florida. He has also worked as a lobbyist. The Florida Congressional delegation has 20 Republicans and 8 Democrats.)
