His legislation changed the ballot initiative title process from the partisan Attorney General’s office to the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst office. Previously, he was in the California State Assembly District 5 from 2004 to 2010 and in the Sacramento Board of Supervisors 4th District from 1999 to 2004. He spent 25 years running auto dealerships with his family partners.)

(Editor’s Note: Delaware’s 62-year-old Democrat Senator Chris Coons was first elected in 2010. He has been both Vice-Chair and Chair of the Senate Ethics Committee from 2021 to 2025. Coons co-chairs the weekly Senate Prayer Breakfast. He has been a close ally of President Joe Biden, is a supporter of Planned Parenthood and also a supporter of victims of child abuse. He is an attorney that was previously county executive of New Castle County Supervisors from 2001 to 2005, where he balanced the budget by cutting expenses and raising taxes. Delaware’s 64-year-old Democrat Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester has served since 2025. Previously, she was a Delaware at-large Congresswoman, the first woman and first African American to represent Delaware in both chambers of Congress. She was a co-chair of President Joe Biden’s campaign in 2020 for the White House.)
