(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 9 includes both Contra Costa and Alameda Counties and is represented by 58-year-old Democrat State Senator Tim Grayson, of Concord, since 2024. Previously, Grayson was in the California State Assembly from 2016 to 2024 representing the 14th and 15th Districts. He also served on the Concord City Council. Prior to office, he worked as a construction contractor.)

(Editor’s Note: Florida Republican Congressman Greg Steube, Sarasota, is 47-years-old, first elected in 2018 but previously served in the Florida Senate District 23 from 2016 to 2018 and the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016 in the 67th District and in the 73rd District. Steube is an attorney and served in the U.S. Army as a Judge Advocate from 2004-2008. He is a strong supporter of President Donald J. Trump and is Methodist. Florida Republican Congressman Scott Franklin of Lakeland is 61-years-old and has served since 2020 representing both the 18th and the 15th Congressional Assembly Districts. Prior to work in government, Franklin worked as an insurance chief executive officer and also was a Naval aviator for 26 years operating off aircraft carriers with 14 years of active duty and 12 years in the Navy Reserve. He is Presbyterian. The Florida Congressional delegation consists of 20 Republicans and 8 Democrats.)
