Local (Community): Pray for citizen journalists in California Senate District 12.
(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 12 includes Tulare, Kern and parts of San Bernardino Counties, the northwest corner of the Mojave Desert and the southwest Central Valley. The district is represented by 61-year-old California State Senator Shannon Grove, Bakersfield, who has served in the California State Senate since 2018, first in the 16th District from 2018 to 2022 and then in the 12th District from 2022. From 2019 to 2021 she served as the Minority Leader. She has also served in the California Assembly first representing the 32nd District from 2010 to 2012 and then in the 34th District from 2012 to 2016. Senator Grove is pro-life, an advocate for gun rights, and is a President Trump supporter. Earlier in her career, she served in the U.S. Army. She is an Assembly of God member and in the June Primary ran for Board of Equalization District 1 and came in on top of the five candidates.)

(Editor’s Note: New York’s 63-year-old Congressman Tom Suozzi has represented Glen Cove since 2017. He is co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus and Democrats for Border Security. Previously, Suozzi was 7th County Executive of Nassau County on Long Island from 2002 to 2009. He has been an accountant and is an attorney. Suozzi is Catholic. New York’s 56-year-old Democratic Congresswoman Laura Gillen has represented Rockville Central, since 2024, an area on Long Island. Previously she was a Hempstead Town Supervisor, the first Democrat elected to this position in 100 years. Gillen has been an adjunct law processor and is an advocate for parental consent. She is Catholic. The New York Congressional delegation consists of 7 Republicans and 19 Democrats.)
