(Editor’s Note: California Senate District 13 includes the South Bay area of San Mateo County and western Santa Clara County. The District is represented by 57-year-old California State Senator John Becker, Menlo Park, who has served since 2020 and is Vice Chair of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus. He is a former nonprofit executive.)

(Editor’s Note: California’s 37-year-old Democrat Congresswoman Sara Jacobs of San Diego has represented the 53rd Congressional District since 2023 and also the 51st District. The district consists of the South Bay region of San Diego County and includes National City, Chula Vista and the Hispanic southern portion of San Diego and when elected to Congress was the youngest legislator elected as well as one of the wealthiest. She is a strong supporter of President Joe Biden.)

(Editor’s Note: New York’s 73-year-old Democratic Congresswoman Nydia Velasquez, Brooklyn, was first elected to represent District 7 in 2013. Previously, she served in the 12 District from 1993 to 2013. Velasquez is Puerto Rican and also served as a New York City Council member from the 27th District. She is chair of the House Small Business Committee and is the first graduate from high school in her family and is Catholic. New York’s 55-year-old Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, Brooklyn, has served in Congress since 2012 and has been House Minority Leader since 2023 and previously served as leader of the House Democratic Caucus from 2018 to 2022. He is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and of the Progressive Caucus. Jeffries was a member of the New York State Assembly from 2007 to 2012. The New York Congressional delegation consists of 7 Republicans and 19 Democrats.)
