(Editor’s Note: California State Senator Anna M. Caballero, was first elected to the California State Senate in 2016 and first elected to the California State Assembly in 2006. She became the first woman elected Salinas Mayor in 1998. The 70-year-old Caballero represents Fresno, Kern, Kings, Tulare Counties and the cities of Bakersfield, Fresno, and Visalia. She has represented farmworkers and founded Partners for Peace, a nonprofit. Caballero is a wife, mother of three adult children and grandmother of six.)
