Congressman Moore is running for a Senate seat in 2026 hoping to replace Senator Tommy Tuberville who is running for governor. Previously he was elected to the Alabama House in 2010 and served until 2018. Moore was enlisted in the Alabama National Guard and founded a waste hauling company in 1998. He grew up on a farm. Alabama Congressman Shomari Figues is a 40-years-old attorney first elected in 2024. Previously he served as deputy chief of staff of Attorney General Merrick Garland, on the Biden transition team and also worked in the Obama administration in the President’s personnel office. Both his father and mother served in the Alabama Senate. Alabama has a Congressional delegation of 7: 5 Republicans and 2 Democrats.)
